Ever wondered why you can't do half the moves with the axe and the club? I always thought that they, especially the axe, were some of the coolest looking weapons in the game. It was unfortunate that you couldn't block without a shield and were only able to do one powermove.

No more!

What this mod does is move the animations and attacks from the other weapons (specifically the sword moves) and applies them to the axe and club. It also increases the Axe's damage to 9, and the Surerior Naga Silksword's to 7. The other thing it does to the Superior Naga Silksword is change the model to the normal Naga Silksword's, because "it looks more like a katana".

My only critism is that half of the animations don't really...make sense. Like, impaling someone with a club. If at all possible, in the next version, it'd be great if you had the Staff's "floor kill" move there instead. Another one is the stabbing movements with the club. Perhaps remove that because that doesnt make sense either. And perhaps also make it so that the club can't decapitate people. It's not a sharp weapon, it shouldn't be able to cleave goblins in half.

This small mod allows you to use simple weapons (Club, Axe, Hook) like the other weapons!

Increased the damage of the Axe to 9 (because I love Axes :-) ) but you need
the skill combat 2 to use it; the Superior Naga Silksword does now 7 damage.

(sorry about the description of the Axe but i don't know how to change the "in-game description")

I also changed the model of the Superior Naga Silksword to the model of the Naga Silksword because it looks more like a Katana ;-).


Just unpack "models" and "materials" to "\Dark Messiah of Might and Magic\mm"

Currently, there's no tool or anything out there to edit the game. As of right now atleast. I beleive they are working on the release of an SDK for DMoMM.

However what I beleive people are doing is literally browsing around in the files and reading the code out. It's generally quite simple if you're looking in the right place. The change of a number here, or the removal of a line of code there. I beleive that in one of the weapon files he simply changed "Simple Weapon" from 1 to 0 allowing the full range of attacks to be made with it.

Persinally, I liked taking heads off with the club. Felt more like knocking them clean off, rather than cutting.

Anywho, if there is a new version, don't suppose we could get the same treatment for the blacksmith's hammer and pick-axe? Sure, it's not practical, but what the heck?

I've got your war axe mod for Dark messiah and I wondered how you decompiled and recompiled the wazakashi model? I've tried using cannonfodder and then compiling using the studiomdl file with the location for it to compile into as the dark messiah one but to no avail. The thing disappears to quick to read what goes wrong in the compile lol.

How i can edit this mod little bit because i would like to leave Superior Naga swordie like it is smile.. otherwise sounds good 8/10 (-2 because of superior)
